2017-18 Chorus Fun
This year has started in an AWESOME way! Mr. Bunn is coming over from the High School and working with us every morning. This month, he is working with 8th graders and they love the time they get to spend with him!
We are going to start a fund-raiser next week, are starting All-State Rehearsals and had musicals auditions today! We are not even into September yet and our calendar is already full!
This past Monday was the Great American Solar Eclipse and we, of course, did creative projects to commemorate the day. The kids could work in groups or by themselves and were given many options for projects. The could create and perform a dance inspired by the eclipse, re-write and perform a song, create a "sound symphony", do a chalk drawing after looking at past data and predict the corona based on the data, make a square for a class quilt wall-hanging, put together a time capsule (that had to include some sort of art) or do a shadow puppet or real puppet show! We presented the projects after the eclipse and heard everyone's stories about their eclipse experiences. Here are some examples of the wonderful work they did!
